Historic Town Center Kroměříž, Czech Republic

Kroměříž is a town in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It is known for Kroměříž Castle with its castle gardens, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The historic town centre with the castle complex is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument reservation.

In the 13th century, Kroměříž became the centre of a dominion owned by the Olomouc bishopric. The Knights Hospitaller settled here and built a church and a commandery in 1238.
