Bạch Mã National Park, Vietnam (Việt Nam)

Bạch Mã National Park (Vườn quốc gia Bạch Mã) is a protected area in central Vietnam, near the city of Huế. It covers 220 km2 and comprises three zones: a strictly protected core area, an administrative area and a buffer zone. Bạch Mã National Park is situated in the Annamite Mountains and is one of the wettest places in Vietnam. Its mountains are composed mainly of granite, and the topography of the park is generally very steep. In 2004, the park was being considered for expansion in order to create a corridor from the border with Laos to the sea. The park can be accessed by foot, moped or with a park guide’s car.
