AquaZoo Leeuwarden is a zoo located east of Leeuwarden in the De Groene Ster recreational area in the province of Friesland. It is part of Libéma. AquaZoo Leeuwarden is a zoo where you can mainly see animals that live in and/or near water. AquaZoo Leeuwarden is a green and watery zoo. There are streams and ponds throughout the park where Canadian beavers, South American tapirs and harbor seals can take a dip. The park has several walk-through enclosures with, for example, penguins, lemurs or kangaroos..
