Hortus Botanicus Haren, Groningen, The Netherlands

The Hortus Botanicus Haren is a hortus botanicus in the town of Haren in the Dutch province of Groningen. The Hortus consists of fifteen hectares of gardens and is managed by the Stichting Behoud Groene Hortus Foundation. The garden is affiliated with the National Plant Collection foundation. The garden was founded in 1626 on the Grote Rozenstraat in Groningen. This makes it one of the oldest botanical gardens in the Netherlands. In 1967 the collection was moved to Haren and the location in Groningen was closed.
